Self Power

It's your solar energy. Keep it and use it whenever you like - night or day. No more sending excess energy back to your utility for pennies on the dollar.

Backup power

Keep your family safe and critical home systems up and running when the power grid goes down. Say good bye to black outs forever.

Time-of-Use (TOU) Billing

TOU benefits the utility with higher energy rates during peak times of the day. But with a battery, no need for the grid - you're using your own energy instead. That's control; that's cost savings.

Off Grid

For some people, making a clean break from the utility makes sense. Today's battery technology makes this a conversation worth having.

When integrated with your solar system, Telsa's extraordinary Powerwall technology can power your home during the night or back up your home in the event of a power outage. With its built-in battery inverter, Powerwall is compact and easy to install.

What is a Home Battery?

A home battery together with your solar system is your ticket to Energy Independence. It will change everything you know about energy management. Although rudimentary forms of both solar power and batteries have been around over 100 years, only recently has technology and price converged to combine them into a single system. This powerful combination now empowers homeowners to generate, store, and use their own electricity independent of the utility.

Speak to someone about the advantages of generating and storing your own power.

Let one of Baker’s Energy Storage Consultants educate you on batteries and answer all your questions. There are many reasons for you to get an energy storage system; whether you want to go fully off the grid, be ready for a blackout, or take advantage of today’s incentive programs, we have a solution for you.

Are there energy storage rebates or incentives? Yes!

The Self-Generation Incentive Program, or SGIP, is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a ratepayer funded program to pay for your battery! SGIP covers up to 50 cents per Kilowatt hour, that’s a $5000 rebate for the average sized home battery! This is a limited time rebate, the fund is expected to exhaust quickly, so it’s important that you contact us right away – we’ll handle the registration process, you just receive the check.

SGIP is currently closed in SDGE awaiting new funding, but is available in SCE.

What does this mean to me?

Why the best solar systems include a home battery.

Solar power is instantaneous.  The very moment it’s generated, it’s gone.  You have an instant to either put it to work or it will find the path of least resistance off your property and back on to the electrical grid.  This causes two issues for homeowners with solar:

1. They only have access to free electricity when the sun is shining.

2. They have no control over what time they export energy to the grid.

5 reasons for a battery

  • Enhance finances of solar system

  • Emergency Backup Power

  • Protect against TOU billing

  • Use solar power at night

  • Go completely off the grid

5 battery facts

  • Tesla Powerwall is available

  • Batteries don't require solar

  • Can be installed after solar

  • Can cost less than a daily latte

  • Can eliminate demand charges

Solar+batteries is energy magic.

Nothing less than the catalyst to propel renewable energy as the dominant energy source on the planet.

Time-of-Use (TOU) arbitrage

Live in Southern California Edison (SCE)? New solar customers are forced onto Time-of-Use billing under Net Metering 2.0. This means you will get less credit for the solar electricity you export to the grid during the day. Energy storage fixes this problem.

A purely financial reason to get a home battery system. Depending on how your utility charges for electricity, batteries can dramatically reduce what you pay every month. Batteries will soon become the reality for all new solar customers as they are forced into TOU billing, which will decrease the amount of credits they receive for the solar power they put back on the grid during the day. If you are looking to go solar, you need to call for more information on why you will need a battery.

If you live in Riverside or the Inland Empire, energy storage will soon become a standard component of any solar power system.

Quality Installation The Baker Way

Baker Electric Home Energy has been chosen by Tesla to be one of only a few contractors certified to be a Powerwall installer.
