As the Vice President Commercial and Utility Solar Operations and Safety, Scott Williams is responsible for all functions of the commercial solar division. Williams works to continue Baker’s legacy as an industry leader while achieving annual sales and installation targets. This includes leading the company into other potential alternative markets such as battery storage, lighting retrofit, building industries energy conservation measures and additional compatible energy measures. He provides leadership to the entire commercial sales team, spanning from marketing to sales to implementation and execution.

Biography

Through his comprehensive leadership experience, Williams coordinates and helps individual managers anticipate and understand the impact and possible outcomes that actions taken in their functional areas will have on the business as a whole. He works closely with the executive and operations teams to establish meaningful metrics to monitor and control company performance.

Prior to joining the Baker team in March of 2016, Williams served as the executive vice president of operations at Neal Electric in San Diego. In this role, he oversaw the company’s operations of regional electrical work in San Diego and Los Angeles, including preconstruction services; business development; the BIM/CAD department; and the industrial group including panel shop, project management, prefab, and field departments. In addition, his career experience includes serving as vice president of the electrical group at Hypower, Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, FL; and service division manager at Chewning & Wilmer in Richmond, VA.

Williams brings over 25 years of electrical contracting experience to his position, which includes commercial solar experience and extensive experience in executive management roles.
