Director of Construction
Reckling began at Baker Electric Home Energy in 2011 as an area superintendent. His responsibilities were to work onsite on all residential and commercial solar projects, overseeing foreman and installations, and ensuring all projects were installed correctly and within budget. He also trained crews on installation methods and safety procedures. In 2014, Reckling transitioned into his position as Baker’s field operations manager. In this role, he oversaw all field operations performed for residential solar and warehouse operations, as well as installation methods and safety. Reckling began his current role as director of construction in January of 2016.
Prior to joining the Baker Electric Home Energy team, Reckling worked as Southern California’s Regional Manager at REC Solar in San Diego. He also owned Reckling Electric in Ramona, CA where he installed residential solar projects and worked as a subcontractor for residential electrical work.
Reckling is a C-10 California Licensed Electrician. He has his Photovoltaic Installation certificate from the Solar Training Institute, and is a Sharp Certified Installer. In addition, he has 36 Certificates from SunPower, ranging from safety to installation to design. Reckling scored an impressive 100 percent on the SunPower’s Quality Assurance Field Inspection Report.
With over 23 years of electrical experience and work on over 4,000 residential photovoltaic solar installations under his belt, Reckling plays an integral role in Baker Electric Home Energy’s success. His expertise in troubleshooting complex construction problems, management of commercial and residential solar projects, coordination of scheduling and appropriate resource allocation, and motivational leadership ensure installations of the highest quality.
